Finally the Mariners make a smart move!!!

The Mariners finally do something right by firing GM Bill Bavasi. After numerous terrible signings such as Richie Sexson, Jarrod Washburn, Miguel Batista, Jeff Weaver, Carlos Silva, and the Kenji Johjima extension, etc. And horrible trades such as Horacio Ramirez, Jose Vidro, Jamie Moyer, and Asdrubal Cabrera. This firing was way past due. Notice I didn't mention the Erik Bedard trade because I thought that it was a good trade for the Mariners at first. Looking back now I would love to have Adam Jones and George Sherill back.
