Too bad this move wasn't made two years ago. Now get rid of Vidro!!! He's even worse. How can we have the worst hitter in the american league (except for Kenji Johjima) as our DH and batting cleanup? It's just beyond words how stupid this organization has been lately. Whoever is the new GM is going to his work cut out for him this offseason. Here is a great post I found at USS Mariner (one of my favorite sites of all time because those guys think almost exactly as I do) about the mess that the Mariners organization faces this season and offseason.

Hey Mark, this is an awesome blog. I was so glad when I heard that the Mariners let go of Richie Sexson, talk about a waste of time and mainly, a waste of a big fat paycheck. Now all they got to do is release Johjima.
ya they need to release Johjima but they still owe him over 20 million so they probably won't. and vidro will probably be released in the next month or two but if he isn't, he won't be back next year anyways.
